👋 Hello, I'm Ying, a passionate Designer currently based in San Francisco, California.
I'm a designer who loves turning ideas into practical and visually engaging experiences. I work closely with developers and product teams to create designs that are both functional and beautiful.
Outside of work, I find inspiration in everyday life—whether it's through exploring new places, trying different foods, or discovering creative solutions in unexpected situations.
My career has taken me from working with local nonprofits to fast-paced startups, giving me a wide range of experiences in visual design, branding, and illustration. I graduated with an MFA from Academy of Art University, where I built the foundation for my design practice

Designer - 05.2023 - current
Freelancer
Over the past year, I have been working as a freelancer, focusing on UI/UX projects. My most recent project involved designing a finance app, where I developed the entire visual identity, from the logo to the app's interface, as well as creating related product merchandise.
In addition to freelance design work, I participated in a golf-related project this summer. I served as a translator and coordinator, helping guide Chinese students to participate in junior golf tournaments in the U.S. I have continued to engage with this project by working to bring the prestigious U.S. Kids Golf tournaments to China. In this role, I act as a bridge, facilitating communication and coordination between both sides. The first U.S. Kids Golf tournament in China is scheduled to take place next spring.
